Mrs.
Elizabeth Moir Executive
Director and Head of School
We
are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Elizabeth Moir,
an exceptionally warm and highly qualified professional, as
Executive Director and Head of School. Mrs. Moir took charge at
the Trivandrum International School in January 2003.

University and has a Post Graduation Diploma in Education from
Oxford. An Oxford Blue in Tennis, a System Analyst with IBM,
Founder Head of three International Schools in Colombo, her
teaching career spans around twenty-five years in UK, Hong Kong,
New Delhi and Colombo. She was Head of the Mathematics Department
in The Diocesan Girls' School in Hong Kong and the Governor of
the British School in New Delhi. Mrs. Moir is also an accomplished
pianist and flautist having studied under Sir Douglas Guest who
later became organist at Westminster Abbey. Her other interests
include swimming, golf and Yoga.

Richard Hillebrand
Headmaster and Director of Studies, Senior School
Taking
charge as Headmaster of Senior School and Director of Studies is Mr. Richard Hillebrand. He is a Post Graduate in Modern History
from the University of Oxford with nearly 20 years of teaching
experience in UK, Jordan, etc. He is currently an examiner for the
International Baccalaureate. |

Paula Magdalene
English Teacher and Special Needs Co-ordinator
Mrs.
Paula Magdalene, English Teacher and Special Needs Co-ordinator
has a Diploma from London Montessori Centre. Her career
spans over 20 years in UK, Canada and Jordan.

Ms.
Tashi Tenduf-La Academic
Consultant
Ms.
Tashi Tenduf-La, Head of Junior School at the Elizabeth Moir
School in Colombo will be Academic Consultant to the staff ofThe School.
Ms. Tenduf-La is a Bachelor in Education from Cambridge and has
over 10 years experience in UK and Asia.

Charlie Shearer
Academic Consultant
Mr.
Charlie Shearer, Director
of Studies at the Elizabeth Moir School in Colombo, will be
Academic Consultant to the staff ofThe School. Mr. Shearer is a Post
Graduate from Oxford.
Most
of the other members of the faculty have already been appointed
based on qualifications and years of relevant experience in and
outside Kerala. |

On
the 16th of January,The School hosted an evening for the parents of the
students ofThe School. It was an opportunity for them to meet and
discuss their children's schooling with Mrs. Moir, who has been
given the mandate to create, lead and sustain Kerala's first
truly international school. |

A
delightfully successful Cartoon Workshop, organised for the
students ofThe School on the afternoon of 16th February 2003 saw a
fascinating combination of work, fun and learning. Expertly
demonstrated by Mr. Prosenjit Ganguly of Toonz Animation,
Technopark, Trivandrum, the students ofThe School learnt the basics of
animation while they got to meet and mingle with their
classmates-to-be.
