In today’s computer age, children are not even familiar with the role of post office in the country, as far as personal mail is concerned. To remind them the importance and the role of post office we thought it was a good idea to start a small post office in our Junior School.

The objectives of TRINS post are:

  • It improves writing skill
  • Enhances vocabulary
  • Improves power of expressing
  • Develops independent thinking

An inaugural function was organized on 17th June, 2009 in the Junior School assembly area.

Mr. M O Kuriakose, our Principal inaugurated the function by cutting a small ribbon. Ms. Sherrin and Ms. Sujatha posted the first letters in the TRINS Post box. The function was attended by all the children and staff of the Junior and Infant School.

Mr. Shaji, from General Post Office, Philately beaureau, Trivandrum, visited our school on 3rd July, 2009. He held a very interesting and interactive session with the children. He gave very valuable information on stamps and their collection and inspired the children to pursue the hobby of stamp collection.

The ‘TRINS Post’ is run by the children of Junior School. They write on a topic that is given each month.

The topic of the month of June and July was ‘Your views on the TRINS Post’’

The topic of the month of August is “What you like most in your school’

The children can write letters to their friends in Junior and Infant School, to the Principal and teachers too. Class 5 took the responsibility in the month of June and July. Our enthusiastic post master and post delivery persons are:

Post master: Jonas Buser

Delivery persons: Julia, Gautham, Shilpa

Post master takes out the mail and seals all the letters under the supervision of In-charge ‘TRINS Post’. The letters are then sorted out class wise by post master and given to the delivery persons.

They deliver letters to all the classes and staff once a week. Responsibility of ‘TRINS Post’is taken by class 4 in the month of August and September.

Postmaster: Jeswin Paul

Delivery persons: Jomin, Joshmi, Manna
