On 14 -07-2010, Bastille Day was celebrated in school. Bastille Day is a national Day in France. On this Day in 1789, the Revolutionaries broke open the Bastille prison, which was a symbol of King’s tyranny and released the prisoners. The highlight of the celebration was a skit through which students were taken through the Revolutionary period in France. They saw the unpopular reign of Louis VI and his Queen Mary Antoinette, the position and life of the three Estates, the part played by the scholars, writers and philosophers, the reaction by the people of France and the execution of Louis. There was also a French song led by Mr. Patrick, our French teacher. Welcome to the Trivandrum International School Image Gallery. Click on the thumbnail images to view.
