4th Annual Book Fair

The world of books

Is the most remarkable creation of man

Nothing else that he builds ever lasts

Monuments fall

Nations perish

Civilizations grow old and die out

And after an era of darkness

New races build others

But in the world of books are volumes

That has seen this happen again and again

And yet live on

Still young

Still as fresh as the day they were written

Still telling men’s hearts

Of the hearts of men centuries dead

4th Annual book fair of Trins was held from 17th to 19th September 2009

Leading publishers: - Scholastic, Penguin, Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press participated in the three day programme.

Principal, Mr. M O Kuriakose inaugurated the fair at 9.30am and declared it open. He highlighted the importance of reading in his address. The display at the fair attracted one and all. Students were excited as they moved and browsed through their favourite books. Some of them literally perched near the bookshelves during lunch and short break.

Recently released Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol” was sold like hot cakes.

In the lucky draw organized by Scholastic Publishers on the 19th of September,Neethu Paul of Class XII, Cybil Ann Cherian of Class VIII and Nishanth David Jacob of KG II won prizes.

The fair came to a close at 5 pm on 19th September 2009.
