THE JUNIOR SCHOOL ISLAND BONANZA   

The island project – its humble birth was during the month of December.  It was our cross curricular project for the second semester and the change in the ambience of the classrooms, an innovative visual learning style combined with power point presentations, hands on art activities, visits and interactive sessions with visitors, all lend a real boost to its success.  The learning achieved was devoid of strain to the students only because they enjoyed what they were doing.  Subjects such as Maths, English, Humanities, Science, languages, Art, Music and Dance were correlated to the island study with ease.  This method of cross curricular learning was indeed beneficial and also enhanced both the confidence and self esteem of all the students.
