On 2nd December 2010, 44 students and 6 teachers from Trivandrum International School visited the Department of Bioinformatics, Karyavattom campus to meet and interact with the Nobel Laureate, Johann Deisenhofer. The meeting was lasted only for 20minutes and only 8 of our students were able to ask questions due to time constraint. The questions were based on his discovery and research work. He briefly explained the interdisciplinary relationship between different branches of science and its scope in the coming years.

The interaction was really an enlighting experience for our students. It would have been much more effective and inspiring if an introductory session on his career and discovery was held. It turned out to be a rare and excellent opportunity for all our students to meet the Nobel laureate.
