The Talent Day 2008

“Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What's a sun-dial in the shade? “

                            And this is the reason why Trins launches the Talents Day every year on its birthday,the 16th of July. A celebration of arts, music, oratorial skills and lots of spice – that is Talentsday at TRINS.

 


Talent Day 2008 began with the school assembly. The Honourable Director Mr. G.
Vijayaraghavan inaugurated the session formally by lighting the lamp. The Registrar, Col.Harimohan, Ms Gayathri Rani (Senior school cocoordinator),Ms Sherin Mathew, (Junior school co-coordinator) and the captains of junior and senior schools also took turns to light the lamp.



Ms Susan Iype, the librarian, who has been with the school since its infancy then
addressed the gathering. Students who have been with Trins since its inception then came forward to share their feelings about their alma mater.
A dove was released by the school captain, as a symbol of spreading peace & hope. The assembly began with the Malayalam version of the school anthem and concluded with the English version.

             The Talent Day provided an opportunity for all students to showcase their talents. Over 38 events were conducted, which included Eastern and Western Dance, Eastern & Western Instrumental music, Eastern & Western vocal music, Just-AMinute, Turncoat, Monoact, Recitation, Essay writing, Story writing ,Elocution, Painting & pencil drawing, power point presentations & collage.
